Emily Cullmann, First Grade

Hello, my name is Emily Cullmann, and I am so excited to be returning to St. Margaret’s. For me the saying “in the end it is the beginning that counts” really hits home because I am a proud alumnae of St. Margaret’s, class of 2004. This time instead of sitting in the desks I will be in front of the room teaching first grade! This year will be my third year teaching after graduating from Ursuline Academy and the University of Missouri/Columbia, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. At Mizzou I became certified to teach children birth-6th grade.  I have really learned to love the pre-primary grades and enjoy teaching with the first grade team!

I enjoy traveling and after graduating from the University of Missouri, I went to Chiang Mai, Thailand where I taught English to Thai students.  My time aboard has taught me more than I could ever imagine, and I am eager to share this knowledge with all of my students! I am looking forward to learning from and with my students and their families. I enjoy reading all types of books, cheering on the Mizzou Tigers, traveling and spending time with my family, friends and dogs.

I look forward to strengthening the St. Margaret of Scotland School community, and I cannot wait to watch my students grow!
