Packet Day - Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015

Back to School BBQ - Saturday, Sept 12, 2015
This is a great chance for school community to get together in a fun, casual way.  The PTA hosts a social, pot-luck style dinner for all school families to celebrate the beginning of thr school year.  Each family brings a dish to share, and chairs/blankets, and the PTA provides the meat and buns, and drinks.   If you have questions or would like to get involved with this event, contact PTA Past President Mary Molitor at maryk.molitor@energizer.com

Standardized Testing Week - September 14-18, 2015

VIP Day - Friday, November 13, 2015
Beginning with Mass for the K-8 grades to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Margaret of Scotland and the very important people in our lives – our grandparents, special aunts and uncles, and especially close neighbors. PTA Christmas Appreciation Luncheon for Faculty & Staff - TBD

Open House - Sunday, January 31, 2016

Catholic Schools Week- February 1-5, 2016

Ice Skating at Steinberg Ice Rink - Thursday, February 4, 2016

Trivia Night - Saturday, March 12, 2016
The PTA sponsors a great night of tough questions, competitive spirit, raffles and more.  Don’t miss it!  The night features an exciting theme, and costumes and table decorations are welcomed.  The proceeds of this event are used to provide one bus rental for each grade in the school for transportation to a field trip per year.  If you have questions or would like to get involved with this event, contact PTA Trivia Night Coordinator Meg Stotlar at mhstotlar@yahoo.com

Mother/Son Dance - Saturday, April 23, 2016
Every year, the PTA sponsors a Parent/Child dance.  On even-numbered years, it is a Mother/Son Dance, and on odd-numbered years, it is a Father/Daughter Dance.  This year will be a Mother/Son Dance, and will be an opportunity for moms and other significant female figures to spend a night out with their sons.  Snacks, music, and much fun are provided!  If you have questions or would like to get involved with this event, contact PTA Mother/Son Dance Coordinator Erika Rembert at

Pizza Lunch - Most Fridays during the school year
The PTA sponsors a Pizza Day on most Fridays of the school year - see school calendar for exact dates.  This event is staffed by parent volunteers, and is a fun way to get to know other parents in the school.  Pizza Lunch conists of pizza, unlimited salad, carrot sticks, orange slices, and a carton of milk.  Families can order pizza by the school year, or by the semester.  The procees from this event are used by the SMOS PTA for school-related donations such as SMART Boards, laptops for the teachers, and upgrades to the school playground.  If you have questions or would like to get involved with this event, contact PTA Pizza Day Coordinator Chelsea Deiters at chelseadeiters@yahoo.com

Maggie's Closet - Open any time the school office is open
Maggie’s Closet offers gently used uniform clothing at a greatly discounted price.  Trades/Donations are also welcome.  The school office has a key to Maggie's Closet, which is located above the school gym.  If you have questions or would like to get involved with Maggie's Closet, contact PTA Maggie's Closet Coordinator Becky Ogier at ogiergirl@yahoo.com
