Our school has joined a long list of schools and parishes who participate in the Abitibi Recycling Program www.paperretriever.com . Our school earns cash from our participation in the program.
One green container for paper recycling has been placed on the school parking lot closest to Shaw. You can recycle any kind of paper products, such as newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, and office paper. You can even place corrugated cardboard boxes in the recycling container; just remember to flatten out boxes, because we are paid by tonnage, not volume.
One special request: many people bring their recyclables to the recycling containers in plastic bags; please do not place the plastic bags in the containers.
We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school. It's super-easy, and all you have to do is use your Target® Visa® or Target® Card. We will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program. It's easy. Just visit www.target.com/tcoe or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school.
So if you're going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target® Visa® or Target® Card. Big thanks to those who are already doing their part to make a great school even better. Grandparents, alumni, neighbors and friends can take part, too
