To maintain and increase educational excellence, formal staff meetings are held monthly and teacher participates in a comprehensive staff development program. As part of this program, faculty members participate in a series of in-service training seminars, workshops, retreats and a variety of other educational programs and opportunities
Foremost, however, among the educational requirements at St. Margaret’s is the love of teaching children. The entire school community is devoted to the healthy development of each child’s mind, body, and spirit.

Volunteers are encouraged to participate in the school community as room parents, classroom helpers, scout leaders or as coaches for the sports programs. Volunteers are required to complete the following prior to volunteering:
1. Complete the screening process for child abuse or neglect by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri Department of Social Services
2. Attend the Protecting God's Children Workshop offered by the St. Louis Archdiocese (for more information go to http://www.archstl.org/children/children.html )
3. Signature verification of the Ethical Conduct Handbook for Clergy, Employees and Volunteers
4. Volunteers are entered into the Archdiocese Database for volunteers
