Teachers & Staff
Our dedicated and qualified teaching and administrative staff have a knack of leaving a positive and lasting impression on their students. All full-time faculty members are degreed educators. Many teachers have completed advanced degree programs
Foremost, however, among the educational requirements for any SMOS faculty or staff member is the love of teaching and guiding children. The entire school community is devoted to the healthy development of each child’s mind, body, and spirit.
To maintain and increase educational excellence, formal staff meetings are held monthly. Likewise, our teachers participate in high quality, ongoing, comprehensive professional development program, such as: training seminars, workshops, retreats, professional reading, study groups and a variety of other educational programs and opportunities. The National Non-public School State Accrediting Association has commended the St. Margaret of Scotland faculty for its dedication to professional development.

Volunteers
Volunteers are encouraged to participate in the school community as room parents, recess and lunch assistants, classroom helpers, scout leaders or as coaches for the sports programs. Volunteers are required to complete the following prior to volunteering:
- Complete the screening process for child abuse or neglect by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri Department of Social Services.
- Attend the Protecting God's Children Workshop offered by the St. Louis Archdiocese (for more information go to http://www.archstl.org/children/children.html ).
- Read and sign The Code of Ethical Conduct Handbook for Clergy, Employees and Volunteers.
